Donate your bits and head collars to The Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust

In November, Rebecca – our vet from the South Shields surgery – is going to volunteer for The Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust.

This amazing charity gives free veterinary care to working horses and donkeys, helping their owners to survive in a country plagued by poverty. One of the biggest issues is the use of makeshift bits and head collars which cut into the animals mouths and heads.

Can you help?

If you have any unwanted bits or head collars please drop them off at our Whitburn, South Shields or Gosforth branches, to be distributed between the horses and donkeys of The Gambia.

If you are unable to drop off please contact us on 0191 284 1711 to discuss potential pickups.
