National Pet Day at The Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter

Come along and join in the fun on National Pet Day at the Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter on Wednesday 11th April.

The shelter will be hosting a wide range of fun activities, including arts, crafts and games, and refreshments and snacks will be available to purchase. Our Head Nurse Rachael will also be hosting a workshop for children, sharing how best to take care of your pets.

The Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter was established in 1896 and helps thousands of lost, unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned animals every year. Their objective is the promotion of kindness and prevention of cruelty to animals.

They reunite lost animals with their owners and find loving new homes for those no longer wanted. They cover the whole of the North East from our two shelters within Newcastle, Claremont Road and Benton North Farm.
