Kennel cough vaccinations

Canine infectious tracheobronchitis, also referred to as kennel cough, is a highly contagious, multifactorial disease of the dog’s respiratory tract. It is generally transmitted through coughs and sneezes, or by nose to nose contact.

Dogs kept together in close confinement are therefore at greatest risk of infection. This is why it’s named kennel cough; however, it can be caught anywhere that dogs socialise together. It is spread through airborne droplets produced by sneezing and coughing. These agents also spread through contact with contaminated surfaces.

The disease can spread rapidly. Lasting up to six weeks, it is extremely unpleasant for the dog and stressful to the owner.

Blythman and Partners are currently offering owners a kennel cough vaccination at the reduced price of £12, when given at the same time as your dogs annual vaccination and health check.

Clients on our Wellness Plan will also receive 15% discount off the £12, when given with annual vaccination and health check, which is included in the plan.

For more information on the benefits of the kennel cough vaccination, please give us a call, or ask our vet at your annual vaccination appointment.

Call 0191 2841711 … 24 hours a day.
