Blythman & Partners is proudly owned and run by Heather Morton. Heather previously ran the practice alongside Graham Chambers, after they took over the practice in 1991, having worked alongside the former owner, Grant Blythman.
Both graduates of the University of Glasgow, Heather and Graham moved south of the border and have since dedicated their careers to providing the highest possible standard of veterinary care to the pets and owners across the North East.
Over the years, we have continued to build on the practice’s long-standing reputation for compassionate, personal and professional care, while preserving the independent, family-run values that have been at the heart of Blythman & Partners for over a century.
Blythman and Partners are very sad to confirm that Graham Chambers passed away on the 8th of May 2024.
Graham was dedicated to his work at Blythman and Partners for over 30 years. He was often out before dawn on farm visits before his small animal consultations and operating. He was always on hand for anyone who needed him – animals and people alike.
Blythman & Partners are proudly independent and Heather, together with the support of her dedicated staff, will continue to provide a fantastic service to our animals and our clients, as Graham would have wanted.
At Blythman & Partners, we have over 20 highly skilled vets who share responsibilities across our 8 practices. We pride ourselves on the expertise and breadth of our vets, their warmth and passion to help our clients. Once you are booked/registered in, our veterinary surgeons will create and lead the care plan for your pet.
Our amazing nurses provide expert complete care for your animal. Each practice is led by the practice head nurse, and the team includes night nurses, auxiliary nurses and more.
They will help examine, assess and develop the plan for care to help your pet back to full health.
This team is the backbone of the organisation. They are central to providing the personal service to our customers.
