This sweet girl Pommy the Pomeranian, recently needed urgent care after a fall from height at home left her non weight bearing on her left foreleg. Pommy was brought to our 24hour emergency hospital, where she was seen immediately by our dedicated veterinary team.
Following assessment, it was decided that Pommy required hospitalisation for pain relief and further investigation, including X-rays to assess for possible injury. These confirmed a fracture in her leg, and surgery was recommended to ensure the best outcome.
Thanks to the expertise of our orthopaedic veterinary team, Pommy’s surgery went smoothly. She recovered comfortably under the attentive care of our inpatient nurses and made excellent progress overnight.
By the following morning, Pommy had recovered just as hoped and was well enough to return home. We’re delighted to hear from her owners that she continues to do brilliantly and is already back to her usual self

Pommy will return in six weeks for pin removal, and we’re keeping everything crossed that this is her last unexpected visit with us.
Well done, Pommy!
